Week Twenty-One: Dark Waters

Week Twenty-One: May 21st-27th, 2010

Taken while standing on a dock, looking into the Lake of the Woods, close to Kenora, Ontario.

My favourite place in the world, without exaggeration.

Week Twenty: On the Rocks

Week Twenty: May 15th-21st, 2010

This flower popped up this spring right beside the fire pit, through the rocks. Poor guy is pretty isolated.

I was in a hurry when I took this and I noticed afterwards that my focal point was a bit behind where I wanted it to be. Oh well.

Camera: Nikon D40X
Exposure: 0.04 seconds (1/25)
Aperture: f/8
Focal Length: 55 mm

Week Nineteen: Sheep

Week Nineteen: May 8th-14th, 2010

One of those "happy accident" shots. I had planned on doing a full-frame shot of just the baking sheet (same one as 17/52, lol), the sheep cookies, and the cutter. But as I was setting up I accidentally shot this. Not a perfect shot but I love the warped perspective and all of the random details.
